However, there are numerous reasons why you should put some serious thought into setting up a PayPal account to receive payments for your mystery shopping services. And in fact, there are a growing number of providers who require you to have a PayPal account when you sign up to work for them.
Time Is Money! Of course, there is some time involved in driving your checks back and forth to the bank as they make their way in to your mailbox. If you are a busy mystery shopper who does several shops a week, you may either be accumulating checks in a pile to take to the bank in one trip, or you may be driving to the bank every couple of days as the checks hit your mailbox. Either way, you are wasting your time and gas money driving back and forth to the bank.
When you have a PayPal account, the payments simply hit the online account you set up. a\And with a few clicks of the mouse, you can transfer those funds into your personal checking or savings account.
Get Paid Faster! Many mystery shopping providers can process PayPal payments much faster than snail-mailing a check to you. Some shoppers claim they receive their payments WEEKS faster with a PayPal account.
There is, of course, a very small transaction fee PayPal charges you for use of their system. You may want to simply consider this a “convenience fee” for the convenience of getting your payment a month or more faster than if you were snail-mailed a check. As with other business-related expenses, the transaction fee can be written off on your taxes as a business expense.

You can also create customizable reports such as a monthly sales report and monthly financial summary. If you’re unsure if you have received an outstanding payment, simply use the convenient “Find Transaction” feature on PayPal’s website, and you can search by key word, amount of the transaction, or a range of dates to see if you overlooked the payment at the time you received it.
With the convenience of these reports, the small transaction fee PayPal charges is more than made up for.

I truly could not function without my pay pal account. I just wish all the companies I worked for would pay through them. It is easy to see who payments are from when they post to pay pal so you can keep track of who has paid and who has not. Some shopping companies require direct deposit and because I don’t have a checking account I got a green dot mastercard for their deposits but green dot don’t provide details on who a deposit is from so it makes it harder to keep track.

I just want you to know that Pay Pal has a FREE Pay Pal Account so you do not really have to pay a fee. I have it so that is how I know, and it is wonderful and safe. Check it out and click on Free Account. Someone told me about it, and I checked it out and I have had it for quite awhile now.
i have signed up for paypal but every time i try to get into my account i keep having problems and none of my money is there do you have a solution to this problem
I have been using PayPal for 8 yrs for mystery shopping and online purchases. It’s the best. I can check the history if I want to know if someone has paid me so I can delete the emails I save from shops until I get paid.
I’m not sure why you would have problems with paypal. I haven’t had any so keep trying. Also, mine is free and it has really been a blessing. I do get paid faster. And yes more and more companies are requiring it. Their a business too and it saves them time and money too.
I always like doing paypal. To me it’s a lot less of a hassle getting paid. I even use it for all of my Survey companies that I do surveys for.

Paypal is great! Some shops require that you submit an invoice for pay. It is so easy to do. It is idiot proof. I keep funds there to use just like an extra bank account.

Sheila, You should have gotten a debit card when you opened your account. If you did not contact pay pal and ask them about getting one. Also if you attached your checking account to you pay pal account you can go online to pay pal and request money to be transferred in.
There is a huge problem with free paypal.com account .
The limit of how much you can deposit in to pay pal a year.
I had to apply for the fee base pay pal since I made too much monie in a year.
